Plate Magnetic Separator Applications And Separation Objective:
In the processing of legumes and oilseeds, removing iron contaminants is crucial to ensure the quality of the final product and to protect processing equipment. During the preparation stage, metal particles (especially iron) may inadvertently enter raw materials such as soybeans, sunflower seeds, and other legumes and oilseeds. These iron contaminants can damage processing machinery such as crushers, grinders, or conveyors and negatively impact the quality of the final product.Plate magnetic separator are very important to prevent raw materials from being contaminated by magnetic impurities.
To address this challenge, we implemented an effective magnetic separation solution. High-performance magnetic equipment, such as magnetic separators or filters, is used to extract iron particles from the raw materials. These magnetic systems are designed to handle the unique characteristics of legumes and oilseeds, ensuring effective removal of metal impurities without disrupting the processing flow.
The goal is to improve the quality of magnetic separation during the processing of legumes and oilseeds. Iron particles larger than 1 µm should be captured to achieve maximum purity of the processed product.
Result:
We manufactured the separator according to the customer’s requirements. The iron material was captured and was not present in the subsequent production stages.
The customer particularly appreciated our ability to find suitable separation solutions even in locations where separators are not typically installed.

Application:
The customer’s requirement was to install a strong magnetic separator at a specific location, right after the hopper, where the legumes and oilseeds are conveyed via a screw conveyor. This placement ruled out the use of standard magnetic separators, necessitating the design of a special magnetic separator. Unlike typical customer modifications (such as adjusting the separator flange or changing the separator size), it was necessary to design a completely new type of magnetic separator to meet all of the customer’s needs.
Plate Magnetic Separator Design:
The core of the separator consists of a magnetic chute plate equipped with the strongest neodymium magnets. Given the abrasiveness and poor bulk characteristics of the material being separated, we chose this type of separator (magnetic chute) to prevent blockages of the separator and/or the entire production line. This solution met the customer’s magnetic separation quality requirements.
We equipped the magnetic chute with stainless steel conical steps to achieve the highest magnetic induction. The iron material is trapped here, and the conical magnetic surface prevents the contaminants from being wiped off in the rapidly moving product flow.
The system is easy to clean, allowing trapped iron particles to be removed with ease. The separator is equipped with an inspection door to monitor the number of captured iron particles.
The top of the separator is open for ventilation. To prevent possible injuries, a safety grid is installed at the top.
